Caprice because it's a car the public has ZERO access to. Unless of course they get a ride in the back of one.

Charger, because V8 and all-wheel drive. Plus, the Taurus' are apparently impossible to keep running.

I also remember reading that it had really decent space up front for the driver; could even recline the front seat. What's the point of hiding in the woods "running radar" when you can't recline and catch a few z's... I mean speeders.

Charger, it's the meanest looking and the most common replacement for the Crown Vic I have seen so the most universally recognized as a cop car.

Charged. Love the look of those. Our state troopers in Kentucky use about a 50/50 mix of Caprices and Chargers.

Are Cop Chargers AWD? I assumed they were RWD for reliability.

Even if I'm going under the speed limit I get intimated seeing one of these.

I get even more spooked by civilian ones because I saw one I thought for a second was a cop car but realized it was the first gen and it was not a common cop color and had no lights on it. A couple minutes later it blew past me with flashing lights and I nearly had a heart attack.

Damn, that would scare the crap out of me too. But I'm not sure where you live, here in Michigan though almost all cop cars have X plates. Gives you something to check to be sure.

Ohio. He was in my rear view and not close enough to inspect the plates.

I think I remember an article that police testers generally preferred the Caprice.

Also sleeper. You can get it with a 6L V8. It would just be plain fun to have something that looks like that with a 355 hp V8 driving the rear wheels

It's been discontinued on the new style IIRC. Old one was a MB design I guess.
